‘Coco’ to Make World Premiere at Mexico’s Morelia Fest

6af28e_4ada7c3744e94dd3b8b6a6545cec9854-mv2Pixar’s newest original feature will be making an appropriate debut in Morelia, a Mexican city famous for its Day of the Dead celebrations.

The movie will make its world premiere at the Morelia International Film Festival on October 20.

Morelia, one of Mexico’s top film festivals, is set to run Oct. 20-29. Competition titles will be announced later.

Coco is a latin-inspired film that uses different forms of the hispanic culture as Miguel, the movie’s protagonist, transforms. Miguel uses music to find himself and learn about his family, and then his inquisitiveness lands him in the land of the dead.

Coco will be in theaters for everyone on November 22, 2017.
