BREAKING: Disney Confirms Tron Light Cycle Coaster, Ratatouille Attractions with Cast Members, Gives Date for Star Wars Expansion

breaking-news-banner.jpgOn the morning of the highly anticipated Disney Parks panel at D23, Walt Disney World executives tell cast members in respective locations that the Ratatouille and Tron Light Cycle rumors are true.

Ratatouille, a trackless 4D ride will be constructed in EPCOT’s France Pavilion and is slated for a spring break 2019 opening. The dark-ride will be nearly identical to the one at Disneyland Paris, where guests will wear 3D glasses as they become a mouse and scurry through the streets of Paris.

The Tron Light Cycle coaster has been garnering a ton of attention as of late, and the attraction is confirmed for Magic Kingdom. Despite rumors from other sources, the roller coast will not be replacing any rides, it will be built behind Tomorrowland Speedway. This coaster will be fully-enclosed and depending on size, could force engineers to reroute train tracks for Main Street Railroad. The original light cycle coaster was constructed in 2016 when Shanghai Disney Resort first opened; there is no date for Walt Disney World’s version.

Thursday night Disney unveiled the model for major Star Wars expansions at both Disneyland and Disney World. These major expansions are expected to open simultaneously and have cast members have given a date of May 4, 2019.

Stay tuned for more news from the parks panel later tonight at D23.
