During the movie panels at D23 Expo 2017, Disney unveiled all kinds of news… including a first look at A Wrinkle in Time.
The film is based off the 1960’s Madeleine L’Engle novel which chronicles the life of a high school-aged girl who travels through time and space with her brother and friend as they try to rescue her father.
The cast includes Storm Reid who will play teenager Meg Murray (the main character), Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. Which, Mindy Kaling as Mrs. Who and Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit. Chris Pine will also be featured in the film, he plays the scientist/father in need of rescuing.
Ava DuVernay is directing the film.
