Mulan has been one of the live-action films that have been on the back burner, but now Disney is making progress.
The company is casting Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu, as the warrior princess.
Ming-Na Wen, the original voice of Mulan, is happy with Disney’s choice:
The live-action film will be inspired by both the legendary ballad and the Disney animated classic. The movie’s director is Niki Caro and will be produced by Jason Reed, Chris Bender and Jake Weiner. Bill Kong will be executive producer.
