Tokyo Disney Resort is gearing up for one of its biggest celebrations ever.
To commemorate 35 years of magic in Japan, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be participating in the Happiest Celebration.
At Tokyo Disneyland, World Bazaar will transform into Celebration Street. Guests will also get to enjoy a new daytime parade, Dreaming Up!. Once the sun goes down, guests can grab a spot in front of Cinderella Castle to see the park’s new nighttime spectacular, Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland.
“it’s a small world” will also reopen its gates for the celebration. New renovations to the attraction include a new facade and the addition of dozens of Disney characters.
One of the new shows coming to the parks is Let’s Party Gras. The high-energy, fun show at Theatre Orleans features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Clarice Donald Duck, Panchito, Jose Carioca, Max Goof and Goofy— all in vibrant, party outfits.
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, guests will be able to watch Happiest Celebration on the Sea. The brand-new water show will feature Mickey, Duffy, Stella Lou and other friends on the water.
For those who want to stay on land, Hello, New York! is a show at Dockside Stage. This show will feature VIPs including everyone’s favorite chipmunks, Chip and Dale.
Character fans will also get to meet Duffy and ShellieMay at the Village Greeting Place in their new 35th Anniversary overlays.
It’s not just about the entertainment offerings for the resort’s 35th anniversary. Decorations will be scattered across both parks for the celebration. There will be 35 special Mickey statues for guests to take photos with. Die-hard fans will want to purchase the Happiest Memory Maker, which will allow those special statues to interact with guests.
Special anniversary food and snacks will also be available, which includes anniversary churros. Also, the Pastry Palace at Tokyo Disneyland will transform to feature the fan-favorite Chocolate Crunch.
Happiest Celebration will run from April 15, 2018 through March 25, 2019.
