Tokyo DisneySea is getting it’s biggest expansion ever.
Oriental Land Co. announced an expansion of the Tokyo Disney property back in April, and now we’re learning it will include adding an eight port to Tokyo DisneySea.
The fantasy-themed port will feature a deluxe resort hotel and three lands inspired by Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan.
Here’s a breakdown of the upcoming project:
Frozen
The gates of Arendelle will be open for you at Tokyo Disney Resort! Jump aboard a boat and explore Elsa and Anna’s kingdom, sing along to iconic songs from the film, and dine at a new restaurant inside Arendelle castle!
TANGLED
This is your opportunity to swing through a charming forest and discover Rapunzel’s tower! You can also make your Disney Princess dreams a reality by boarding gondolas for a tour of Rapunzel’s journey with Flynn to the lantern festival. You can even grab a bite at a restaurant inspired by the beloved Pub Thugs!
PETER PAN
We will all be able to run away to Neverland and witness Captain Hook’s pirate ship and Skull Rock with our very own eyes! This Peter Pan-themed area will feature two new attractions, as well as a restaurant inspired by the Lost Boys hideout. In the first attraction, you’ll fly over jungles with Peter Pan to rescue Wendy’s younger brother, John, in a battle with Captain Hook. Or you can choose to embark on the second attraction, joining Tinker Bell and her fairy friends in Pixie Hollow!
As for the new fantasy-themed hotel, it will feature 475 deluxe-type & luxury-type guest rooms. Some of those rooms will face the park, others won’t. The new hotel will also feature a gift shop, two restaurants and a lounge.
The complete 250-billion yen Tokyo DisneySea expansion is scheduled to open in 2022 fiscal year (which ends on March 31, 2023.
