The Walt Disney Company is furthering their effort to go green.
The elimination will amount to a reduction of more than 175 million straws and 13 million stirrers annually.

Disney says it’s also furthering it’s commitment to conservation by eliminating the number of plastic shopping bags in the parks and on the cruise line. DCL guests will have the chance to buy reusable gift bags while onboard.

In recent go-green efforts, Disney has cut down in greenhouse gas emissions by 41% in 2017 and diverted nearly 50% of waste from landfills and incineration in 2017. They plan to improve even more with the elimination of single-use plastic in future years.
