Typhoon Hagibis Forces Tokyo Disney Oct. 12 Closure & Oct. 13 Operation Changes

Typhoon Hagibis is ready to bear on Japan and Tokyo Disney Resort is preparing.

Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be closed on October 12. On Saturday, the resort will give an update around noon.

As of right now, the park will open at noon on October 13and close at 10 p.m.

Here’s a ticketing note from Tokyo Disney Resort:

There will be no handling fee for changing the date of fixed-date tickets for October 12, 13 and 14, 2019. Tickets must be unused and within the expiration date. For other details, please check the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Website. Information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Although Hagibis was previously classified as a “super typhoon,” the JTWC (Joint Typhoon Warning Center) has downgraded the storm to simply “a typhoon,” with sustained winds of 220 kph and gusts up to 270 kph, the equivalent of a category four hurricane.
