Actor Kirk Douglas, Who Starred in “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, Dies at 103

Iconic actor Kirk Douglas has died at age 103.

In terms of Disney movies, Kirk’s lone roles was as Ned Land in the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Douglas is the father of actor Michael Douglas who confirmed his father’s death in a post on his Instagram page.

“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103. To the world he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years,” said Michael Douglas. “A humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he beleived in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.”

The Motion Picture Academy also paid tribute to the actor who’s biggest hit was Spartacus.

Douglas also starred in Lust for Life.
