Yahoo! Report: Why WDW Would Be Ideal Spot for NBA to Salvage Season

The NBA playoffs would normally be starting their playoffs this weekend— if the league wasn’t suspended.

The coronavirus has flipped the sports world on its head.

With the NBA season suspended, leaders are hoping to salvage what they can and come back to the playoffs at some point in the near future.

Former Disney cast member and Yahoo! Sports writer Keith Smith explains why Walt Disney World should be considered a neutral site for the league to save their season.

In the article (you can read in it’s entirety here), Smith goes into detail about how Walt Disney World would be able to provide living accommodations for the athletes & coaches as well as has enough facilities to play the games.

Many sites — Las Vegas; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Nassau, Bahamas — have been suggested for this type of event. Some locations have even lobbied for it. The challenge comes with finding somewhere that can provide the necessary housing, basketball facilities and the ability to create the absolutely mandatory bubble.
