Governor Ron DeSantis spoke highly of Disney’s efforts to ensure safety whenever the parks reopen following the coronavirus pandemic.
During his interview, he said the things Disney is doing to prepare are remarkable and the company is “far ahead of the curve” when it comes to procedures.
Gov. DeSantis also mentioned that the state will have guidelines in place, but he believes companies will go above and beyond when it comes to being safe during a reopening.
On Friday, Governor DeSantis had a scheduled phone call with CEO Bob Chapek. The details of that phone call were not released.
Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro was named to the Governor’s “Reopen Florida” task force on Monday.
Senior VP Thomas Mazloum was named to Orange County (FL)’s task force to reopen the economy last week.
