Disney and Sony are both making changes to their Marvel release dates, likely because of the impacts the coronavirus is expected to have on the box office.
Sony said Friday that it is moving their “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel to Nov. 5, 2021 instead of keeping their original July 16, 2021 date.
Disney also announced that Sam Raimi’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” would no longer be on November 5, 2021, but will be released March 25, 2022.
There’s also been a change to Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder“, originally scheduled to be released on February 18, 2022 but will now move up to the week before Valentine’s Day.
