Pixar Story Artist Rob Gibbs Dies at 55

Story artist( writer and director Rob Gibbs has passed away at the age of 55z

He worked for both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar throughout his career.

He joined Pixar in February 1998 and served as a storyboard artist on Toy Story 2 (1999).

Gibbs worked on a number of films including “Onward”, “Wall•E”, “Toy Story 2”, “Pocahontas”, “The Brave Little Toaster” and “Fantasia 2000”.

Gibbs is credited with directing several Pixar shorts: “Tokyo Mater” and “Mater’s Tall Tales and Tales From Radiator Springs”

He was also tapped to direct the upcoming Disney+ series “Monsters at Work”.

Survivors include his daughter Mary, the voice of Boo in several Monsters, Inc. projects.

A cause of death was not immediately available.
