Weeks ago we posted an article from former cast member and current Yahoo! Sports writer Keith Smith explained why Walt Disney World would be an ideal spot to host the NBA season following the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, that idea is coming to fruition.

Shams Charania, one of the top NBA reporters in the country says he and his group at The Athletic are hearing Walt Disney World has reportedly offered their facilities to the NBA in order to finish the season when it’s safe to do so.

Shams says Walt Disney World is being discussed, but nothing has been made public yet.

Walt Disney World would certainly make sense due to the court availability and ability to house all of the players and coaches at resort hotels.

Weeks ago, Bob Iger sat-in on a coronavirus conference call with NBA owners across the country. He and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver have a close relationship, especially after creating The NBA Experience in Disney Springs.

The NBA is planning to allow teams in states with relaxed stay-at-home orders to start practicing at team facilities starting May 8th.
