Walt Disney World Parts and Resorts may be closed, but that doesn’t mean everything is forgotten.
Cast members at Animal Kingdom Lodge remain working during the coronavirus pandemic to take care of the animals on site.
Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro recently took a trip to the resort to see what’s being done.
He posted his experience on Instagram:
The post says:
Jambo! I stopped by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge this week and enjoyed speaking with a few of our Cast Members working at the resort. While there, they shared with me the legend of the lanterns located at the entrance of Kidani Village. These lanterns were inspired by those used in remote African villages. They are thought to protect the household or person carrying them and are used to light up the darkness to show the way back home. I also had the opportunity to visit with one of our Animal Programs Cast and take in the amazing view of the wildlife out on the savanna. Asante sana to all our Cast for maintaining the Magic!
Walt Disney World has been closed since mid-March. There is no official reopening date yet.
