Public Health Director: LA County Stay-at-Home Order Will ‘Almost Certainly’ Extend Through July

California is one of the states hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic— and impacts could stretch into the summer.

Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer says the area could see the stay-at-home order through the summer.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Ferrer believes restrictions will stretch into July during a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.

That may not bode well for Disneyland.

Even though Disneyland is in nearby Orange County, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom has been adamant that he will seek guidance from health officials before fully reopening the state.

Hours after the news from Ferrer came, Governor Newsom released new guidelines for strip malls and stores to begin opening.

There is still no word of when Disneyland will reopen.
