Orange County Mayor: Disney World to Submit Reopening Plans May 27th

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings says Walt Disney World is expected to submit their plans to reopen with coronavirus safety measures in place Wednesday May 27th.

Mayor Demings made the statement during an Orange County press conference on Tuesday.

The plans must include an official reopening date, safety measures for guests and cast members.

Universal Studios submitted their plans last week and plan to reopen June 5th.

Orange County Mayor must sign off on the plans and then submit them to Governor Ron DeSantis for a final review.

Disney Springs reopened May 20th, but as of right now, the parks remain closed.
