Walt Disney Studios is changing some release dates for future projects.
On Friday, the company also announced “The One and Only Ivan will go straight to Disney+ instead of having a theatrical release. The project was also pushed back a year.
Here are the changes:
“The Beatles: Back” changed from September 4, 2020 to August 27, 2021.
“Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” from October 23, 2020 to January 22, 2021
“The One and Only Ivan” from August 14, 2020 to a Disney+ release date of August 21, 2020.
“The Personal History of David Copperfield” has been given an August 14, 2020 release date.
It’s fair to assume Disney made these changes as theaters and film crews work back towards normalcy following a hiatus prompted by the coronavirus.
Disney’s next planned theatrical release is Mulan, which is set to hit theaters July 24, 2020.
