California Gov. Newsom Orders All Orange Co. Restaurants to Suspend Indoor Dining

As coronavirus case total surge across the state of California, Governor Gavin Newsom is ordering restaurants, wineries, theaters, zoos, museums and cardooms to suspend indoor seating. He also says bars must close all operations.

The new order applies to 19 California counties, including Los Angeles County and Orange County, where Disneyland resides.

The order will last at least three weeks, but could be extended.

Gov. Newsom made the announcement in a Wednesday afternoon press conference/

As of June 29, 2020, there are a total of 222,917 positive cases and 5,980 deaths in California.

The new ruling from Gov. Newsom comes as Downtown Disney District prepares to reopen July 9th.

There are currently no reopening dates for Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Park.

  1. Nitpick: he says bars that do *not* make the majority of their money from *food sales* must close. If it is a restaurant that happens to have a bar, and the majority of income is from food receipts, it can continue outdoor operations.
