Walkway Between Grand Floridian & Magic Kingdom Nears Completion

Guests staying at Grand Floridian will soon be able to walk to Magic Kingdom, rather than taking a boat or monorail.

Construction on a new walkway around Seven Seas Lagoon is nearing completion.

Photos we took on July 29th and they show the nearly-complete walkway, what seems to be a rotating bridge so boats can continue to operate and a ramp to the Magic Kingdom monorail station, where guests will likely go through security and temperature screenings before entering.

It’s unclear if the walkway will open immediately after construction is done due to security and the logistics of Grand Floridian’s property as they host several NBA teams during the remainder of the basketball season.
