Disneyland is reportedly evaluating COVID-19 testing options for its 31,000 employees.
“We are currently evaluating options to provide COVID-19 testing to our Disneyland Resort cast members,” Disneyland officials told The OC Register.
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have been closed since mid-March due to the pandemic.
Earlier today in Florida, Disney and the Actors’ Equity labor union signed a memorandum of understanding for Disney World actors to return to work after the Florida theme park resort agreed to provide space for a free on-site COVID-19 testing center.
In Anaheim, AGVA represents as many as 500 actors who perform in shows at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. AGVA actors include performers in “Frozen Live at the Hyperion” and “Mickey and the Magical Map” as well as atmosphere talent like the Dapper Dans and Five & Dime.
Disney signed agreements with 20 cast member union affiliates in late June to bring Disneyland employees back to work.
There is still no announced reopening date for Disneyland Resort.
