NBA Referees Hold March Against Racism at Walt Disney World

The NBA Referees at taking action and calling for justice following a number of deadly shootings where black Americans were killed by law enforcement in the United States.

The NBA Referees, who are staying at Coronado Springs during the NBA restart at Walt Disney World, marched around the resort this morning to strengthen their calls for change.

Earlier this morning, the NBA referees released a statement:

Please stand with us at 9 ET this morning as we march against racism and grieve for the black lives taken too soon. Join us as we unite in the bubble, and around the world, to fight injustice and police brutality. #EverybodyvsRacism

These calls for justice come less than a week after Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man, was killed by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin after seeking help from the cops as two women were fighting.

On Tuesday night, the NBA postponed postseason games due to a boycott from teams— who are focusing on something much bigger than basketball.

There is no word on if the rest of the season will be cancelled, or if teams will participate, at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
