Guests Can Remove Masks for Outdoor Photos Starting April 8th at Walt Disney World

As vaccine rollout continues here in the United States and the spread of COVID-19 is declining, Walt Disney World is altering its face covering guidelines.

Starting April 8th, guests can remove their masks while taking an outdoor photo.

The updated guidance on Walt Disney World’s site says:

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking or taking an outdoor photo, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing during this time. (Beginning April 8)

Guests will still be required to wear face coverings while walking through the parks and on attractions, regardless if they are indoor or outdoor.
