Florida Governor Ron Desantis is suspending all local emergency COVID-19 orders.
Monday morning the Governor announced a bill signing to invalidate all local orders. The bill will go into effect July 1, 2021.
He is using his executive power so suspend all orders until his new bill takes effect.
“I think this is the evidence-based thing to do,” DeSantis commented at a press conference in St. Petersburg on Monday morning.
Theme parks are separate entities, so the bill won’t impact theme park decisions.
Walt Disney World will still be able to control COVID-19 protocols, like face covering requirements.
