Orange County Mayor Recommends Masks Indoors Due to Surge in COVID-19 Cases

Orange County, Florida Mayor Jerry Demings is recommending the use of face coverings while indoors due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

Demings made the remarks during an Orange County COVID-19 press conference on Monday.

“14 day rolling positivity rate has increased -dramatically- for the past two weeks. Today it is at 7.8%. We are now considered by the CDC to be in a high risk category for transmission.”

At this time, there is no executive order to require masks. However, the latest recommendation is certainly a step back as we push towards to normalcy.
