The 91st Academy Awards are in the books and Disney brands are walking away with 4 awards.
Disney movies received a total of 17 nominations through Pixar, Marvel, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Star Wars.
Three of the 4 Oscar wins came from Marvel’s Black Panther.
These awards are the first-ever Oscars for Marvel– coming just three months after the death of founder Stan Lee.
Black Panther won:
- Best Costume Design
- Best Original Music Score
- Best Production Design
Disney’s fourth award came from Pixar, for their production of Bao. Bao won the honors of 2019’s best animated short.
