Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is arguably one of the most highly anticipated Disney attractions EVER.
That’s because Imagineers have been given free reign to create an attraction like never before– putting guests directly in the middle of the action of the Star Wars franchise.
With the attraction opening later this winter, Good Morning America is pulling back the curtains and showing guests what to expect.
On “Rise of the Resistance,” guests will start their journey by boarding an ITS ship to go to the hangar bay of a star destroyer and enter a stunning new world.
The storyline of the attraction allows guests to come face-to-face with some of their favorite “Star Wars” characters, including Resistance heroes like Rey, Poe and Finn, as well as 50+ Storm Troopers, Kylo Ren and General Hux of the First Order.
Walt Disney Imagineering also used multiple ride systems to create a simulator experience for guests to be transported to a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens at Walt Disney World Dec. 5, 2019, and at Disneyland on Jan. 17, 2020.
